JOB SUMMARY

The Night Shift Dispatcher is responsible for scheduling and dispatching personnel and vehicles, tracking equipment and inventory, and coordinating freight and material transportation. This position monitors communication systems and maintains records, logs, and schedules of all requests for equipment and other services.

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES

  • Schedule and dispatch personnel and vehicles in response to calls for service, mechanical failures, and other requests.

  • Operate and monitor communication systems and equipment to ensure a prompt and timely response to calls and other service requests.

  • Coordinate freight and material transportation as required.

  • Maintain accurate records, logs, and schedules of all requests and work orders.

  • Track and maintain equipment records and inventory.

  • Prepare routine and special reports as required.

  • Have a good working knowledge of all field activities, Well work, Drilling and facility work and be able to communicate this to the client and to the foreman's that the work would be performed by.

  • Be able to use the Equipment Management System on a daily basis to keep accurate inventory and charges for equipment and tanks in the field.

  • Must have a thorough understanding of North Slope Waste Manifesting (Red Book).

  • Comply with Company and customer policies and procedures.

  • Support AES zero-incident safety culture and assume personal accountability and responsibility for safe work practices in all projects, activities, and operations.

  • Other duties will be assigned to this position as needed.

 

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE

  • Must be authorized to work in the U.S.

  • A High School Diploma or equivalent is required.

  • A valid (U.S issued, Alaska compliant) Class A CDL with Hazmat endorsement is required.

  • A current DOT Medical Card is required.

  • A North Slope Training Cooperative (NSTC) safety training certification is required.

  • The ability to work 91 hours a week on a 2x2 rotation is required.

  • At least five (5) years of experience as a Dispatcher on the North Slope is required.

  • At least two (2) years of experience working with or around coiled tubing units and understanding of fluids associated with their specific jobs is required.

  • At least two (2) years of experience working with or for Drilling rigs on the North Slope as well as knowledge of fluids associated with Drilling Operations such as but not limited to (CRW-132) (CRW-9152) (DRA) and (J-609) is required.

  • At least two (2) years of experience working with or around Vacuum Trucks, Super Suckers, Boom Trucks, and/or Bed Trucks/Winch Trucks is required.

  • At least two (2) years of experience working with downhole pumps and tri-plex pumps is required.

  • At least two (2) years of experience working in the Kuparuk Field with good command of field layout as well as Facilities (CPF-1, CPF-2, CPF-3 and STP) is required.

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Power Point, and Word) is required.

 

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE

  • Five (5) or more years of experience working as a Dispatcher specifically in the Petrochemical or Oil and Gas industry, on the North Slope, and/or in other Arctic environment is preferred.

WORKING ON THE NORTH SLOPE

While working on the North Slope of Alaska, your lodging and food will be provided to you.  All camps provide warm meals and options to grab a quick lunch or snack from the spike rooms. Rooms vary from single status to shared rooms where your roommate may work the opposite shift.  Wi-Fi and Internet is free and available within the camp.  Services vary depending upon where you are staying; however, most facilities offer housekeeping, self-serve laundry, commissary, mail, gyms, TV/Theater Room, etc.  Each facility will have its own accommodation and policies that will be reviewed upon on-site orientation.

 

PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT

The physical demands and work environment requirements outlined below are representative of those necessary to successfully perform the essential functions of this position. A post-offer, pre-hire Functional Capacity Evaluation (FCE) will be conducted to ensure an employee’s ability to safely meet job standards. Reasonable accommodation may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform these functions. Candidates must be able to comply with the ASRC Energy Driving Records and Motor Vehicle Use Policy, successfully pass a pre-employment drug test which may include both urinalysis and hair testing, and meet the physical requirements of working in a remote location under arctic conditions. In addition, candidates will be required to pass a Fit-for-Duty Exam, complete a background check, and obtain and maintain an access badge for the work location.
