JOB SUMMARY

Sales Admin is a member of the Builders Choice Lumber Sales team and has the responsibility for assisting the inside sales staff with the facilitation of orders for customers.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Assist customers in-person, over the phone, or email.
  • Entry of orders and credit memos into system accurately and efficiently.
  • Work with colleagues throughout the organization to ensure excellent customer experience from the inception of the order through delivery.
  • Listen and respond empathetically when faced with customer concerns. Seek quick resolution to issues raised.
  • Work hand-in-hand with management, by performing the administrative functions required to achieve the task at hand.
  • Ensure timely quotations and accurate order processing.
  • Follow up and update customers regarding bid status, order status, delivery status, etc.
  • Communicate clearly with customers regarding their expectations and how we intend to deliver on those expectations.
  • Provide solutions through products, service, or information to add value to our customers.

  • Ability to read and receive safety and other instruction in the English language.

QUALIFICATIONS

Required

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Valid Alaska driver’s license
  • Construction industry experience
  • Have prior sales & customer service experience
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office products and other windows-based programs
  • Forklift experience and certification preferred
  • Ability to solve problems and issues
  • Ability to interact and communicate effectively with others
  • Ability to prioritize multiple tasks thru completion
  • Strong focus on safety and quality
  • Ability and willingness to abide by BCL code of conduct, policies and procedures
  • Display knowledge, understanding, and sensitivity to the Inupiat culture

The work environment is in a busy construction setting.  The noise level in the work environment is usually varies. While performing the duties of this job, the employee may be occasionally exposed to outside weather conditions and may be required to travel in small and large commercial aircraft.
