The Incinerator Operator is responsible for the safe operation, monitoring and maintaining of a fuel gas supplied H-250 incinerators. 

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (AND OTHER DUTIES AS ASSIGNED)

  • Ensure the safe operation and maintenance is carried out in accordance with the EPA and our Standard Operating Procedures (SOP). 
  • Document and maintain the required records and log’s as appended for each Incinerator.
  • Coordinate and Facilitate All Trash, Dumpsters, within the Kuparuk Field.     Records’ keeping is required.
  • Able to Operate and Maintain Electric Powered Forklift used for trash dumping and loading into Incinerators.
  • Assist Operators in The Water and Wastewater Facilities (Operator in Training) willing to work and study to qualify for WT & WWT Certifications.
  • Be able to operator a 100bbl vacuum truck to transport water and waste water on occasion. 
  • Be able to pass a respirator fit test for full face respirator. 
  • Comply with Company and customer policies and procedures.
  • Support AES zero-incident safety culture and assume personal accountability and responsibility for safe work practices in all projects, activities, and operations.

 

MINIMUM EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

High school diploma or GED with a minimum of three years related experience and training required. Prior incinerator experience preferred but not required. Experience in the oil and gas industry and in the arctic environment preferred.

 

CERTIFICATIONS

North Slope Training Cooperative (NSTC) safety training certification and current DOT medical card and a Class B commercial driver’s license required.

A candidate must be able to meet the following non-exclusive requirements:                                                               

  • Meet the AES Driving Records and Motor Vehicle Use Policy.
  • Take and pass a pre-employment drug test which may include both UA and hair testing.                         
  • Meet the physical requirements of this position including working in a remote location under arctic conditions.
  • Required to take and pass a Fit-For-Duty Exam.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain an access badge for the work location.

The availability of this position is contingent upon the Company’s continued operational needs once training is completed.
