Fueler (Seasonal) – Alpine – Drilling Support Group

 

 

JOB SUMMARY

The Fueler is responsible for fueling light, heavy, mobile, stationary equipment, and machinery in accordance with flammable and combustible fluid transfer policies and requirements. This position operates tankers, pumps, and valves to refuel equipment and performs other maintenance activities as required. This position is in support of the winter drilling operations.

 

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES

      Perform refueling operations on light, heavy, mobile, and stationary equipment, and machinery.

      Operate tankers, pumps, and valves to refuel equipment.

      Perform fluid level checks and record fuel activity as required.

      Monitor the availability and delivery of fuel products.

      Operate light and heavy-duty equipment on ice roads.

      Perform other maintenance tasks as required.

      Comply with Company and customer policies and procedures.

      Support AES zero-incident safety culture and assume personal accountability and responsibility for safe work practices in all projects, activities, and operations.

 

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE

      A Class B CDL with Tanker and Hazmat endorsements (U.S issued) is required.

      A current DOT Medical Card is required.

      A High School Diploma or GED is required.

      The ability to work 80.5 hours a week on a 3x3 rotation is required.

      A North Slope Training Cooperative (NSTC) safety training certification is required.

      A minimum of three (3) years’ related training and experience is required.

      Within seven (7) days of arrival at the job location the employee must demonstrate the ability to pass a written and practical competency equipment evaluation.

      Driving record must meet Company requirements.

 

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

·         Three (3) or more years’ experience working as an Equipment Operator in a Construction/Industrial setting, the Oil and Gas/Petrochemical industry, and/or the North Slope/Arctic environment is preferred.

·         Previous ice road driving experience is preferred.

·         A Class A CDL with Tanker and Hazmat endorsements (U.S issued) is preferred.

WORKING ON THE NORTH SLOPE

While working on the North Slope of Alaska, your lodging and food will be provided to you. All camps provide warm meals and options to grab a quick lunch or snack from the spike rooms. Rooms vary from single status to shared rooms where your roommate may work the opposite shift. Wi-Fi and Internet are free and available within the camp. Services vary depending upon where you are staying; however, most facilities offer housekeeping, self-serve laundry, commissary, mail, gyms, TV/Theater Room, etc. Each facility will have their own accommodations and policies that will be reviewed upon on-site orientation.

 

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

WORK ENVIRONMENT

A candidate must be able to meet the following non-exclusive requirements:                                                              

      Meet the AES Driving Records and Motor Vehicle Use Policy.

      Take and pass a pre-employment drug test which may include both UA and hair testing.

      Meet the physical requirements of this position including working in a remote location under arctic conditions.

      Required to take and pass a Fit-For-Duty Exam 

      Required to complete and successfully pass a background check.

      Must be able to obtain and maintain an access badge for the work location.
