JOB SUMMARY
The Truss Builder is a member of the truss manufacturing crew with the responsibility of physical assembly stacking, and banding of trusses. 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES 
•    Ensure proper production of individual trusses per design by confirming all components are constructed into the assembly.
•    Ensure quality of trusses by correct operation of the gantry presses and final finish press. 
•    Follow table setup instructions.  
•    Verify materials and components are delivered from sawyer correct and free of defects.
•    Move completed trusses from table to rollers. 
•    Stack and prepare trusses for banding. 
•    Move material from the component staging location using a forklift, hand truck or other types of equipment.
•    Maintain a clean work environment including keeping machinery and equipment free of debris.  
•    Follow production order identified by the table lead and truss supervisor.
•    Operate effectively in a fast-paced high-pressure manufacturing environment.
•    Performs other related duties as assigned.

•    Ability to juggle and prioritize multiple tasks thru completion.

QUALIFICATIONS
Required
Ability to use basic hand and power tools.
•    Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. 
•    Ability to work outside or in a cold environment for long durations.

Preferred 
•    Forklift experience.
•    Prior related experience.

The work environment is in a busy construction setting.  The noise level in the work environment is usually varies. While performing the duties of this job, the employee may be occasionally exposed to outside weather conditions and may be required to travel in small and large commercial aircraft.
